Do I need IPv6?

Everything still works on IPv4 thanks to NAT, but IPv6 is the modern standard: more addresses, no NAT, often slightly better latency on networks that support it well. Most users get it automatically when their ISP enables it.

Why does the test show no IPv6?

Either your ISP has not enabled IPv6, your router has it turned off, or a VPN is tunneling only IPv4. None of these break normal browsing.
